Shelter Finished!

Our new shelter is finished. What a great addition to our school. This will benefit the students of Narrabri West for generations to come. Already it has been put to great use with the warm weather we are experiencing.

What a great fete!

Our school fete continues to get bigger and better each year. Last year’s fete was described as the biggest and best ever. Well possibly Friday’s fete even surpassed it! A huge crowd, great weather, fantastic stalls, plenty of attractions and live music saw Narrabri come out in force to support our school. At this stage final figures are not yet known, but we are again expecting a healthy profit, hopefully in excess of last years. Funds raised from this years fete will be used to purchase additional interactive whiteboards. Thank you to everyone who attended the fete and in particular to all of our organisers. We owe a huge thank you to the Fete Committee which has met regularly over the last 12 months planning the night.

Westies win North West Film Festival!

Movies made by 5/6S were finalists in the 4th North West Film Festival held at Bingara's Roxy Theatre on Friday 10th September. We won First Prize in the Primary Documentary Section with our entry "Do the Crime Pay the Fine". Well done Mrs Stewart and your talented team of film makers. This is a great achievement.

Shelter Progress

Our shelter is rapidly progressing. We have all enjoyed watching it 'grow' and are amazed at how little time it has taken to get this far!

Our new shelter starts!

Construction started today on our new shelter in the primary play area. This will be a great addition to our school. Already all of the uprights are in position. We will keep our blog updated with daily progress until its completion.

6C Gymnastics Routines

Along with the other Stage 3 classes we have been doing gymnastics over the course of the term. We have begun developing a routine in small groups to show the rest of the class. Some of the skills are very difficult although the class are practising them weekly and progressing very well. Have a look at the photos to get an idea of some of the skills being learnt.
